Hello! I’m Jack Leavey, a Technical Designer with a deep-rooted passion for video game development and modding, boasting over 13 years of experience. My journey began with modding popular games like Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim, and Icewind Dale, which ignited my passion for crafting engaging gameplay experiences. Over the years, I've honed my skills in both Unity and Unreal Engine, though I also continue to work with specialized tools like the Creation Kit and Divinity Engine.

I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Game Design and Interactive Media, equipping me with a solid theoretical and practical foundation in my field. My diverse programming skills have enabled me to lead and contribute to various groundbreaking projects, adapting and overcoming complex development challenges. These skills extend across various programming languages including C, C++, C#, Python, Lua, and JavaScript, thanks to eight years of experience in software engineering.

My tenure in the USAF, particularly with the RQ-4 Weapon System, not only honed my technical acumen but also fortified my leadership and crisis management skills, essential for high-stakes game development environments. I am skilled in communicating with worldwide partners and offices as well as constructing technical writing for my responsibilities.

I am deeply passionate about interactive media as a powerful form of storytelling, constantly exploring ways to give players more input into the narrative. My design philosophy centers on creating immersive narratives where player choices genuinely influence the storyline, as demonstrated in specific projects or games. I believe the best stories are the ones made through shared input.
